Music for Your Media Project!

Want to use Landry's music for your web site, YouTube or Vimeo video, indie film project, radio spot, wedding slide show or DVD project? You can use Landry's music on most media projects royalty-free!

What this Royalty-Free License Covers:

1. Web Site Use: You can use a song to stream on your web site provided that the song cannot be downloaded by your visitors (most people embed the music in some kind of secure player to prevent this). You must also provide an obvious song credit to Landry with a link back to this web site. Something to the effect of... "The music you're hearing is courtesy of Landry Riba."

2. YouTube/Vimeo Video Use: You can utilize Landry's music in your YouTube or Vimeo video. The music must be credited in the video itself as well as in the text description of the video on YouTube. A credit should appear in the video as follows...

"Song Title"
Composed and arranged by Landry Riba

3. Manufactured CD / DVD / Media / Slide Show Use: So long as yours is a small, independent project (less than 100 copies manufactured), you can use the song(s) freely. A credit should appear in the project as follows...

Composed and arranged by Landry Riba

If you intend to manufacture more than 100 copies, contact Landry at landry@landryriba.com with the specifics of your project for a quote. Also, this does not cover film projects or long play video. This is intended for shorter media projects, slide shows, power point presentations, etc.

4. Long Film / Motion Picture / Video Use: So long as yours is a small, independent project (ie a non-commercial project that won't appear on broadcast television, in the theater or distributed on a mass scale via DVD), you can use the song(s) but a credit should appear in the project as follows...

"Song Title"
Composed and arranged by Landry Riba

For use of Landry's music in commercial film or television, contact Landry at landry@landryriba.com with the specifics for a quote.

5. Radio Spots: You can use one of Landry's songs in your radio spot if the spot is a limited run in a single market (playing for a month in one region, for example). To license a song for unlimited use or duration, or for national radio use in all markets, contact Landry at landry@landryriba.com with the specifics for a quote.

Limit: Due to radio broadcasting and webcasting regulations, please, use only Landry's original songs and avoid covers.

Other Use: If your desired song usage isn't covered above, contact Landry at landry@landryriba.com with the specifics.

What These Licenses Don't Cover:

  1. Mass Production or Distribution: Song(s) under this license agreement cannot be included in any commercial product that is mass produced (100 or more units) or distributed on the Internet via iTunes or other similar music services. A product release of more than 100 units requires a license and any kind of mass distribution via the Internet requires special consideration. Contact Landry at landry@landryriba.com with the specifics for a quote.

  2. Commercial Theater or Television Releases: Use of Landry's music in a theatrical film or television broadcast is not covered. For use of Landry's music in commercial film or television, contact Landry at landry@landryriba.com with the specifics for a quote.

  3. Adult Themes: Song(s) licensed cannot be included in projects that may be inappropriate for children (containing excessive violence, sex or nudity). If your project contains any of these elements, but you still feel the music is appropriate, please contact Landry at landry@landryriba.com with the specifics.

  4. Sharing, Trading, Downloading: Song(s) used cannot be redistributed, traded, made available for download, or otherwise transferred to anyone else. Nor can they be included in a project in that allows the end-customer to transfer the songs for personal use.

  5. Reselling: Songs cannot be resold as songs. In other words, you can't obtain Landry's music, create your own CD or DVD of those songs, and resell it as your own product. That is a blatant copyright violation.

Other stipulations:

  1. Note that when you use or license a song, you don't own it. You are licensing it for use. There is a legal difference in the copyright sense. If you purchase a CD, obviously you own the CD - but you don't own the copyright to the songs themselves.

  2. These conditions are for Landry's original songs only. Use of cover songs that were not originally written by Landry may require additional licensing from third parties.

  3. The songs you use or license cannot be the main content of your product (see #5 above). This license is designed to allow you to use Landry's music simply to compliment your existing product or project.

  4. This license covers a single user only. It cannot be transferred to another party.
